At Powers Alpacas LLC we are dedicated to driving the improvement of the North American Alpaca herd. At Powers Alpacas you will find a premium selection of foundational seed stock resulting from our selective breeding program focused on top herdsires from the Accoyo and Alianza lineages. Our comprehensive, selective breeding program has resulted in proven, dramatic, generation over generation fiber quality and production improvements in our herd. We are proud to share the results and are confident you too can benefit in adopting a similar approach. In addition to our fine selection of seed stock, you will find an innovative breeding program featuring some of the finest herdsires for your selection. For the fiber enthusiast we offer a selection of yarns and rovings processed directly from our herd.
We focus exclusively on white and light huacayas as we believe white provides a greater degree of choice in color of the alpaca fiber end product.
Powers Alpacas shares a selection of our herd in partnership with Sixth Day Farm. It is through this partnership you can gain access to a highly selected group of animals from the Alianza lineage. At Powers Alpacas, we believe success comes from quantitative and subjective assessment. We are dedicated to annual fiber analysis and the completion of a continuous broad sampling of skin biopsies across the herd to assess the progress of our breeding program. Additionally, we participate in the ARI EPD program and publish our annual EPD results.
